The science of numerology is based upon a series of meanings attached to specific numbers. PIP cards of the Minor Arcana work with the significance of numbers and suits. The following list provides the definition associated with the numbers used within the tarot card system.
Aces- the number one contains raw energy and power. It is the beginning of anything that follows. The number one corresponds with the color red, and is associated with passion, immediacy and rage. Aces relate to beginnings and starts.
The Twos-the twos represent the sharing and joining of mutual relationships, and are friendly peacemaking cards with talk of harmony, olive branches, and rifts healed.
The Threes-the number 3 denotes that which is completed, or that which has reached the end of an appointed phase. This is the case with 3- having completed one particular stage in life there is always movement or progress. Three is also much concerned with matters of intellect and growth.
